America elects a new president today, and we honor our veterans on Veteran's Day, November 11.
What do these two events have in common?
Men fought and died for the United States to have freedom.
Electing a Commander-in-chief of our military is an important deliberation
How we treat the men and women who served our great nation is another consideration.
Mr. Thomas Moore, a German POW in WWII.
I don’t know who wrote the following observations, and I can't give proper credit, but these truths are good ones.
It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has
given us freedom of religion.
It is
the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who
has given us freedom of the press.
It
is the VETERAN, not the poet, who
has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus
organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is
the VETERAN, not
the politician,
who has
given us the right to vote.
It is
the VETERAN who has earned
the
right to stand under the flag.
Pray for America. Cast your vote for the candidate that will support the military and honor our veterans.
