Gay's Days, August 31, 2014

Sunday

We had a blessed morning at church—lots of bodies present, along with a sweet spirit of fellowship.

Came home, ate a bologna sandwich, and now we are off to Waco to see the Baylor Bears play their first game in the new stadium. It's a 3.5 hour drive, but we should make it by game time.

Blessings everyone!

Tomorrow!

Gay's Days August 30, 2014

Saturday

Good morning folks,

I’m having all sorts of computer problems and the AT&T tech is supposed to arrive today between 8:00 and noon. A nice surprise—didn’t think they worked on Saturday.

Neither cell phones worked, mine or hubby’s, so we made a trip to the AT&T store last night to see about those. They are back on track.  Technology is wonderful when it works. Right?

As we returned, the sky was absolutely beautiful from the day's on and off rain showers. All those clouds made me think of Sarah. She calls forth clouds to rest and sleep on, but hers are white and fluffy. These were blue and stormy with a bit of sunshine mixed in. Sarah doesn’t care too much for thunder. It usually means the Superiors are sending her a reprimand.

We ate at the Cheescake Factory in Sugar Land while we were out and about. That was delightful and made the excursion worthwhile for me. They have almost a zillion items to choose from.

I’m excited. After church tomorrow, hubby, daughter #2 and I are zipping to Waco to a Baylor Bear Football game—the first one in the new McLane Stadium.  The Bears play the SMU Mustangs.  Sic ‘em Bears!

Okay guys, I better sign off before the tech guy shuts me down.  Ya’ll have a good weekend and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.

Gay's Days

August 29, 2014

Good morning folks.  Earlier in the day, about 9:00, we had a much needed rain shower. Some parts of Texas are dry, but we’ve been fortunate in Fulshear to have had a cooler, wetter, summer. Rather unusual for us down here.

Our neighbor moved from her home yesterday…a bittersweet relocation for her. She loved her house, but it was too large for one person. She’s looking forward to a new subdivision not too far from here.

I suppose the new neighbors will move in this weekend. Hubby and I are happy because the new neighbors also took possession of the lot between our houses. The view is lovely with all the pecan trees.

I awoke about 5:30 and wrote a bit on my novella, Sarah and the Midnight Cruise to Catalina Island, and now I’m about to leave for the gym and get on that dreaded treadmill. I’m listening to my first book read on audio, Sarah: A Mission of Love. The reader is quite good, and I’m enjoying the book I authored from a new perspective.  Listening to a book makes the time go faster.

Ya’ll have a good day. I’ll catch you tomorrow.
