Cars Are A Problem

I talk about my car troubles today on Bonnie's blog. The experiences are funny now, but they weren't at the time. I'm gonna write about the rocks in my car soon. Yep, rocks. I took the car into the dealership and the found rocks. I'll show you a picture.

Please pop over and read about mine and Sarah's adventures. Sarah is the angel in my stories, and some of the stuff she does, I've done. Wonder where she gets that inclination toward accidents?

Eat Too Much

How about a cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie?

This looks so good, I might eat the whole thing.
Then I'd feel guilty.

Have you ever eaten too much and felt shame? Most of us do at one time or another.

The apple pie looks soooo good, and it is irresistible. Surely one bite wouldn’t hurt, or so I tell myself.

That’s what Eve must have thought as she took a bite of the forbidden fruit. Yesterday, we found she talked too much. Today we learn she ate too much.  One bite  was all it took, and boom! She'd done herself in.

When Eve ate too much, the meal caused the downfall of man.

When I eat too much, I gain weight. Not to mention the other harms to the body. I don't set a good example either. Woe is me. Like Sarah, the angel I write about, I really like cheeseburgers.

Lord, help me leave the unhealthy stuff alone.

Today I will a dieter be.
It will make a lesser person of me.
And I’ll do my best this day
To obey in all I eat, do and say.

I hope you'll buy a book today and read it this weekend. The Sarah Series will make you laugh.

Talk Too Much

I’m a talker.
Sometimes I talk when I should be silent. How about you?

Talking too much to the wrong people can harm you. Just ask Eve.

She spoke to the snake. Now, if I spoke to one, and he answered back, I’d have run away as fast as a Texas tornado. Not Eve.

She hung around and carried on a conversation. Look at the result. Mankind has suffered to this day she had that chit-chat.

Talking too much can harm relationships. Talking can help relationships.  It's up to us to decide what proceeds from our lips..  Harm? Good? Run from the scene? What to do? We make choices.

May the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
--Psalm 19:14 NIV
